Introduction

The IADC-accredited RigPass safety orientation programme prepares personnel for work in the oil and gas drilling environment, onshore or offshore. Delivered fully online, it builds a practical foundation in rig operations and core safety protocols, so participants understand the hazards around them and know how to work safely from day one. The course follows the full IADC RigPass Curriculum and can be completed at the learner's own pace.

Who is it for

The course is designed for people entering onshore or offshore drilling operations and for those who need a recognised safety orientation before going to site. It suits:

Floorhands, derrick workers and other non-technical personnel
Assistant drillers, drillers and toolpushers
Superintendents and drilling foremen

Prerequisite

There are no formal prerequisites. IADC does require a photo and government-approved photo identification to be uploaded for learner verification before the certificate can be issued.

Assessment

The course ends with a final assessment set at an 80% pass mark. You must complete all modules and pass the assessment to be registered with IADC and issued with your certificate.

Certification

On successful completion you receive an IADC Certificate, generated and issued by IADC. The certificate has unlimited validity and does not require renewal.
