With a global footprint and the industry’s largest suite of full-scale simulators, Maersk Training is looking for a Drilling Instructor to deliver next-generation drilling, MPD, HPHT, and well control training.
An exciting and challenging position, where you will use both your technical competence and experience, as well as your interpersonal skills and commercial understanding. As our new Drilling Instructor, you will be part of an innovative company dedicated to developing crew competence in the oil and gas industry to improve safety and operational performance.
The Drilling Instructor will develop, manage and deliver technical training related to drilling, MPD, HPHT, ERD, and well control. More specifically, you will:
•Develop, project-manage and deliver immersive simulation courses to new and existing customers
•Operate and maintain a full suite of drilling simulators (portable and full-scale)
•Deliver IWCF and IADC Well Control Training
•Maintain and improve your knowledge of the current and new offshore drilling technology and processes
•Share your knowledge and experience with our global team of trainers
•Share successes and products developed with the global Maersk Training team
•Support our sales organization with expert advice and technical knowledge
•Build and maintain positive customer and subcontractor relations
•Observe and supervise Maersk Training subcontractors and other service providers to ensure our high level of service is upheld at all times
•Maintain, update and upgrade our course portfolio and related documentation, equipment, simulators, other course materials
•Perform other tasks as required
We are looking for
Dynamic individuals who can satisfy several of the below criteria:
•Two years or more of Driller or Toolpusher experience
•Two years of MPD Field Service Technician/Supervisor experience
•Intimate knowledge of MPD processes and technology
•Intimate knowledge of basic and advanced well control concepts and technology
•Solid understanding of HPHT processes and technology
•Substantial experience in onshore/support functions such as Technical Excellence, Operations support, etc.
•Bachelor of Science or higher degree in engineering (oil & gas related)
•Previous experience in delivering training and developing the skills of others
•Have operational knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)

•Highly self-driven and result oriented
•Service-minded and open to new tasks
•Have a strong desire to contribute to the team success
•A structured way of working, showing attention to detail, and following procedures
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
