Prerequisites
Prior attendance in LOLER Competent Person training course is highly recommended.

Who is it for?
Persons within maritime and offshore industry performing in the role of LOLER competent person, and who requires to be assessed before performing in this role, or as refresher assessment.

Assessment
Written test and practical demonstration of planning and risk management for a lifting operation. Practical demonstration of inspection and use of lifting equipment.

Certification
Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate confirming successful assessment against the requirements for the LOLER Competent Person (LCP) role.
Course content
Regulations and SSOW
Assessment of knowledge and application of relevant regulations and Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for lifting operations.
Supervision of Lifting Personnel
Assessment of the ability to coach and supervise personnel involved in lifting operations.
Lifting Equipment
Assessment of the inspection and correct use of lifting equipment.
Planning and Risk Assessment
Assessment of the knowledge and practical ability to plan and prepare lifting operations and carry out appropriate risk assessments.
