LO1 - Recognise electrical hazards, including electric shock, arc flash, unexpected energisation and stored electrical energy.
LO2 - Explain the relevant EN 50110-1 safety principles and distinguish instructed persons from electrically skilled persons, including the limits of their roles and authorisation.
LO3 - Assess electrical risks and identify the precautions required before opening or approaching electrical cabinets.
LO4 - Select appropriate electrical PPE, insulated tools and suitably rated test instruments for an authorised task.
LO5 - Explain safe measurement and troubleshooting practices, including test–measure–test (proving the tester before and after use).
LO6 - Describe and, where permitted and supervised, demonstrate verification of absence of voltage using appropriate methods and equipment.
LO7 - Explain and practise the safe use of LOTO devices and procedures, including identification of isolation points, stored energy and verification.
LO8 - Recognise approach boundaries and the difference between working dead, working live and working in the vicinity of live parts.
LO9 - Plan safe work, stop when conditions change and respond appropriately to electrical incidents.
