Introduction to Treinamento Avançado de Segurança STCW para Oficiais Marítimos sem Tempo de Viagem
O curso atualiza e mantém as competências de segurança e resposta a emergências exigidas para oficiais de convés e de máquina que não possuam serviço marítimo válido nos últimos 5 anos.
O treinamento abrange sobrevivência pessoal, embarcações de sobrevivência, combate a incêndios, primeiros socorros e resposta a emergências. Os requisitos de competência variam ligeiramente conforme a categoria do oficial.

Prerequisites
Participants must previously have completed and passed the applicable STCW training: Deck Officers: STCW Tables A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3 and A-VI/1-4 STCW Table A-VI/2-1 STCW Table A-VI/3 STCW Table A-VI/4-1 STCW Table A-VI/4-2 Engine Officers: STCW Tables A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3 and A-VI/1-4 STCW Table A-VI/2-1 STCW Table A-VI/3 STCW Table A-VI/4-1

Who is it for?
Deck and engine officers who do not have valid sea service within the previous 5 years and require refresher training to maintain the relevant STCW safety competencies.

Assessment
Participants must pass a written test with a minimum score of 80%. The written assessment is designed so that the 80% pass mark meets the Norwegian Maritime Authority requirement for full achievement of the required competence. All required practical exercises must be completed. Participants are observed individually by the instructor during practical exercises. The instructor assesses whether the participant demonstrates the required knowledge, understanding and practical skills in accordance with the applicable minimum competence standards.

Certification
Upon successful completion, you will receive an NMA recognized certificate valid for 5 years
Course content
Emergencies and Evacuation
Emergency situations, evacuation procedures and appropriate actions during onboard emergencies.
Personal Survival Equipment
Use of personal lifesaving equipment and practical survival techniques at sea.
Helicopter Rescue
Principles and considerations related to helicopter rescue during maritime emergencies.
Firefighting Equipment
Practical use of fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment.
Fixed Firefighting Systems
Precautions and appropriate actions when using fixed firefighting systems.
Breathing Apparatus
Use of breathing apparatus during firefighting and rescue operations.
First Aid
General first aid principles and immediate response to injury or illness onboard.
Survival Craft Operations
Taking charge of a survival craft or rescue boat during and after launching.
Survivor Management
Management of survivors and survival craft following abandonment of the vessel.
Locating and Signalling Equipment
Use of locating devices, communication equipment, light signals and smoke signals.
Firefighting Leadership
Organisation and leadership of firefighting operations onboard ship.
Fire Team Management
Organisation and training of fire parties.
Fire Equipment Maintenance
Inspection and maintenance of fire detection and firefighting systems and equipment.
Fire Incident Investigation
Investigation of fire-related incidents and preparation of reports.
Medical First Aid
Immediate first aid in cases of accident or illness onboard.
Medical Care
Life-saving first aid and medical treatment required for personnel responsible for medical care onboard.
General Nursing
General nursing principles and practical patient care onboard.
Illness and Disease
Recognition and management of illnesses and medical conditions.
Medicines and Equipment
Appropriate use of medicines and medical equipment available onboard.
Practical Medical Care
Practical exercises in assessment, treatment and care of patients onboard.
