Introduction to ActSafe (ICX) Lifting Goods.

The purpose of this course is a thorough introduction with the ICX ascender and getting a good understanding of the function, pre use

check and the correct care of the batteries.

Furthermore the

participants will learn how to operate the ICX ascender and familiarize them with the

standard equipment lifting setups and their general applications.

Working at Height Certificate

Who is it for?

Personnel who will be using the Skylotec ICX Power Ascender for lifting equipment or lifting goods.

Assessment

Participants will be assessed on an ongoing basis followed by a practical assessment in teams of 2 on safe use of the ICX Actsafe device.

Certification

Maersk Training Certificate. Valid for 2 years. Can include "Approved Skylotec provider"

Tell the typical fields of application for ICX ascenders Explain to what ICX ascenders are approved Explain why and when ICX ascenders not must be used Explain the ICX safety guidelines Perform an introduction of an ICX ActSafe ascender and describe all parts and controls and its functions Explain how to take best care of the ICX battery and how they work in relation to the ascender Explain and demonstrate a pre use check of the ascender Explain and demonstrate the starting of the ascender Perform safe and appropriate rigging according to local regulation and best practice Explain and demonstrate correct rope feeding into the ascender Explain and demonstrate safe and correct operation of the ICX ascender Explain and demonstrate the 4 equipment lifting setups and what are they used for and what the advantages and disadvantages of each particular setup are Demonstrate a change between setups while maintaining a 100% tie off of ascender and equipment
