If you use our applications' barcode scanning, QR code scanning, text recognition, image categorisation, or inspection/audit features, we may capture and use images from your device's camera. The images captured are used solely for the following purposes:

In addition to us sharing your personal data with Maersk Training Entities, we may in some situations also share your personal data with third parties such as business partners, suppliers, vendors, consultants, agencies, customers, consumers, governmental bodies, courts, and IT hosting, supply and service providers that we use for our IT environment (Third Parties). We only share personal data where it is relevant and necessary for us to perform the activities described in this Privacy Notification, for example, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details, or the provision of support services, and as permitted under applicable laws.
Transfer and Protection of Your Personal Data

China Specific Addendum Regarding Data Export
To fulfil the purposes indicated in this Privacy Notification, we may need to transfer your personal data to our entities located outside of mainland China, e.g., the headquarter of Maersk Training. When exporting personal data to jurisdictions outside of mainland China, we will implement appropriate protective measures as required by applicable laws to ensure the proper safeguarding of your personal data.
These protective measures include, but are not limited to, conducting Personal Information Protection Impact Assessments, entering into the Standard Contract for Personal Information Export published by the Cyberspace Administration of China, and filing to the authority. In accordance with applicable legal requirements, we will seek your valid consent to fulfil our legal obligations before exporting your personal data. You have the right to refuse to grant your consent or withdraw your consent at any time.

Türkiye Specific Addendum re Data Export

Our deployment and use of AI are guided by stringent AI principles and our commitment to responsible AI practices, ensuring that the collection and use of personal data align with our privacy and security standards. Maersk Training among other ensures that any personal data used by AI solutions is limited to what is strictly necessary for the intended business purpose, and that anonymization or pseudonymization techniques are incorporated where possible to further protect privacy.
Maersk Training collects data from interactions with you. This includes data you provide directly and information we collect, use, and/or otherwise generate about your usage and experience. The data collected, used, and/or generated varies based on your interactions, privacy settings, and/or the features used. Security Measures
We choose to use suppliers that implement security in accordance with industry practices for good IT security, and we only use encrypted data communications when transferring sensitive and confidential personal data. We also maintain organizational, physical, and technical security arrangements for all the personal data we hold. We have protocols, controls and relevant policies, procedures, and guidance to maintain these arrangements taking into account the risks associated with the categories of personal data and the use we undertake.
We store personal data on servers with limited access located in secured facilities, and our security measures are evaluated on an ongoing basis. The servers are protected by anti-virus software and firewalls, among other measures.
Personal Data Retention
Maersk Training stores your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the use, unless Maersk Training is obliged under applicable laws and regulations or is entitled to store the personal data for a longer period, more specifically:
We retain your personal data as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you (in particular, if you have an account with us or have not withdrawn your consent); or
