Prerequisites
Participants should have: - Completed Stability 1 and 2 courses or possess equivalent knowledge of ship stability and ballast management. - Experience working on offshore units such as FPSOs, Semi-Submersibles, or Drillships.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate in Ballast Control & Stability Level 3, recognized by leading offshore industry organizations.
Emergency Ballast Operations
Procedures for managing ballast during emergencies, including rapid de-ballasting, counter-ballasting, and managing ballast system failures.
Communication and Coordination
Emphasises the importance of clear communication and coordination between the ballast control operator, crew, and other departments to maintain stability and safety on the platform.
Practical Simulation Exercises
Hands-on training with advanced ballast control software, real-life emergency scenarios, and crisis management drills.
