Introduction to Basic AVSEC (RBAC 110)

The purpose of this course is to promote the development of

technical and managerial skills of

pre-selected professionals who

work in controlling access to

restricted areas and protecting

against acts of unlawful

interference (aviation security).

Essential Information

Prerequisites

1. For the initial course, candidates must undergo a criminal background check carried out by the instruction center; 2. Education: high school.

Who is it for?

New and existing entry-level airport security staff. Personnel involved in aviation operations at airports and airlines. Security personnel responsible for applying aviation security measures.

Assessment

WRITTEN ASSESSMENT The minimum grade to pass the course is 70% correct answers or more.

Certification

The certificates are issued by ANAC - National Civil Aviation Agency.

Key Learning Objectives

OBJECTIVE Train pre-selected professionals who work in controlling access to restricted areas and protecting against acts of unlawful interference (aviation security). SYLLABUS The syllabus of the Basic AVSEC training course strictly complies with the ICAO recommendations: Annex 17 of the Chicago Convention, RBAC 110/Anac, RBAC 107, RBAC 108, the Aviation Safety Manual (Doc. 8973 - Restricted ) and DECREE LAW 7.168 – PNAVSEC. The syllabus of the Basic AVSEC training course complies with the curriculum provided for in RBAC 110 and includes the following content: 1. Introduction to civil aviation security against acts of unlawful interference; 2. Basic notions of regulatory framework and legal authority; 3. Airport presentation; 4. Basics of accreditation; 5. Basic notions of access control and inspection of people and hand luggage; 6. Identification of chemical weapons, biological weapons and explosives; 7. Basic notions of security measures related to passengers, hand luggage and checked baggage; 8. Basic notions of security measures related to the aircraft on the ground; 9. Basics of security measures relating to cargo, mail and other items; 10. Procedures for sweeping and protecting areas; 11. Contingency Actions 12. Technical visit and evaluation
