Introduction to Basic Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)
The course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform helideck crew and HLO duties during normal helicopter operations and emergency situations.
The training covers emergency organisation, helideck requirements, communication, weather reporting, dangerous goods, aviation fuel, firefighting and use of protective equipment.

Prerequisites
Participants must have completed Basic Safety Training. Participants must also complete the required e-learning before attending the practical training.

Who is it for?
Personnel who are required to perform helideck crew or Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) duties on offshore installations.

Assessment
Participants are assessed throughout all practical training. If a participant does not successfully complete the practical training, the reason for the assessment outcome will be provided. At the end of the training, participants must complete a theoretical test. Participants who do not demonstrate achievement of the required competence objectives will not successfully complete the course.

Upon successful completion you will receive a certificate valid for 2 years
