Introduction to CO2 Awareness

This e-learning course provides an awareness of carbon dioxide (CO2):

What it is and where it is found
Its characteristics and properties
Symptoms and effects of exposure to CO2
Carbon dioxide poisoning
Regulatory exposure limits; safety measures and precautions to take when working in areas with the risk of a release of CO2
First aid measures that should be taken in the event of CO2 poisoning.

The course also covers the requirements associated with personal gas detectors and the donning of filter masks, escape sets and breathing apparatus.

All personnel working in areas where there is a risk of exposure to carbon dioxide.

End of course assessment with 80% pass mark.
