Introduction
This e-learning course provides an awareness of carbon dioxide (CO2): its characteristics and properties; the symptoms and effects of exposure; regulatory exposure limits; the safety measures and precautions to take when working in areas at risk of a CO2 release; and the first aid measures to take in the event of CO2 poisoning. It also covers the requirements for personal gas detectors and for donning filter masks, escape sets and breathing apparatus. Duration: 60 minutes.
Who is it for
All personnel working in areas where there is a risk of exposure to carbon dioxide.

None.
Assessment
End-of-course assessment with an 80% pass mark.
Certification
On successful completion, a Maersk Training certificate is issued automatically through the learning management system. The certificate is valid for two years.
