G5 Offshore Crane Practical Simulation Module P-4.1

This G5 Offshore Crane Simulator Training course is designed for offshore crane operators and employers who want to enhance offshore crane handling skills through intensive simulator-based training. The course provides realistic operational scenarios covering a wide range of offshore crane operations, allowing participants to gain valuable experience in a safe and controlled environment.

Training hours completed in the simulator contribute toward the G5 Offshore Crane Operator training requirements, as defined in Opplæringsplan P-4.1 by Petroleumstilsynet. Simulator training is recognised as part of the practical experience required to develop operator competence in offshore lifting operations.

The course includes 40 hours of practical training on a simulated G5 offshore crane, which corresponds to 75 hours of offshore crane operation according to the requirements outlined in Petroleumstilsynet Opplæringsplan P-4.1.

This training is intended to build operational experience, improve decision-making, and strengthen safe lifting practices in offshore environments.
