Introduction to GWO Solar Safety Training: First Aid

The aim of this module is to enable participants to recognise signs and symptoms of life-threating situations and administer safe and effective first aid in the solar industry specific workplace/environment in order to save lives and prevent further injury, until the casualty can be handed over to the next level of care.

No prerequisites are required to enrol on this course.

Assessment

Participants knowledge, skills and abilities will be assessed by means of direct observation and verbal questioning during practical scenario-based exercises and classroom discussions. A method of formative evaluation to support participants in reaching the module objectives will be performed. This will be supported based on direct observation and verbal questioning to determine participant achievement of the knowledge, skills and abilities in support of the summative evaluation of the module
