Introduction to ISPS Code Auditor

This ISPS Code Awareness course provides participants with a practical introduction to the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and its role in strengthening maritime security across ships, terminals, and port facilities. The training covers the objectives, structure, and functional requirements of the ISPS Code, including the responsibilities of contracting governments, companies, ship personnel, and security officers.

Participants will gain an understanding of ship security assessments, declarations of security, security procedures, training requirements, drills, and certification processes. The course is designed to support awareness of maritime security threats and the implementation of effective security measures in accordance with international regulations.

Through instructor-led discussions and practical examples, participants will develop foundational knowledge of maritime security management and the application of ISPS requirements within operational environments.

Assessment

Participants will complete an individual assessment to demonstrate understanding of the course content.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Maersk Training Certificate. The certificate has no expiry date.
