Prerequisites

No previous well control certificate is required. However, completion of IWCF Level 1 (available free of charge online at the IWCF website) is recommended prior to attending.

This course is intended for operational personnel whose roles may directly influence well-control assurance — including junior drilling staff, wellsite crew members, and relevant service personnel — who need to monitor operations, recognize early signs of loss of control, report potential issues, and act under guidance. Assessment

Participants complete an IWCF-approved written assessment to demonstrate their competence at Level 2, in accordance with IOGP 476 guidance, and must achieve a minimum score of 70 percent to pass.
