This training meets the legal requirement established by NR-37 - Health and Safety on Oil Platforms, item 37.9.6.5, which requires advanced training of at least 8 hours for workers who enter the operational area of the platform or who act in emergency response. The course covers preliminary task risk analysis, hot and cold work permits in the presence of combustibles and flammables, chemical additives and drilling and well fluids, the platform's fire prevention and firefighting systems, accidents with flammables, emergency response under the Emergency Response Plan (PRE), process safety and the safe operation of electrical installations in explosive atmospheres. It ensures that participants are legally qualified and operationally competent to work in the operational area, in compliance with Brazilian occupational health and safety legislation.

LO1 - Apply the concepts of preliminary task risk analysis (APR) through practical exercises based on platform activities.
LO2 - Interpret the requirements for issuing hot and cold work permits in the presence of combustible and flammable substances.
LO3 - Recognise chemical additives and the composition of fluids used in drilling, completion, workover and stimulation operations, where applicable, and their associated hazards.
LO4 - Describe the fire prevention and firefighting systems available on the platform and their purpose.
LO5 - Analyse the causes of accidents involving flammable substances and the preventive measures applied in the operational area.
LO6 - Interpret emergency response actions involving combustible and flammable substances in accordance with the platform Emergency Response Plan (PRE).
LO7 - Describe the principles of process safety applied to oil platforms and their role in preventing major accidents.
LO8 - Recognise safety requirements for operating electrical installations in classified areas and explosive atmospheres.
LO9 - Identify onboard firefighting systems and equipment during the required practical activity.
