Introduction to NR-37 Advanced Training
This training meets the legal requirement established by NR-37 - Health and Safety on Oil Platforms, item 37.9.6.5, which requires advanced training of at least 8 hours for workers who enter the operational area of the platform or who act in emergency response. The course covers preliminary task risk analysis, hot and cold work permits in the presence of combustibles and flammables, chemical additives and drilling and well fluids, the platform's fire prevention and firefighting systems, accidents with flammables, emergency response under the Emergency Response Plan (PRE), process safety and the safe operation of electrical installations in explosive atmospheres. It ensures that participants are legally qualified and operationally competent to work in the operational area, in compliance with Brazilian occupational health and safety legislation.

Prerequisites
Participants must have completed the NR-37 basic training required by item 37.9.6.3 before their first embarkation. Foreign workers who are not fluent in Portuguese must attend the English version, as required by NR-37 item 37.9.3.1.1.

Who is it for?
This training is intended for workers who enter the operational area of oil platforms to carry out specific, occasional or one-off activities related to operation, maintenance or integrity, as well as workers who act in response to emergency situations, as defined in NR-37 item 37.9.6.5. Typical roles include operations and production technicians, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation maintenance technicians, integrity and inspection personnel, drilling and well services crews, and emergency response team members. The English version is intended for foreign workers who are not fluent in Portuguese, as required by NR-37 item 37.9.3.1.1.

Assessment
After completing the training, the participants will have to complete a theoretical test, delivered in the language of the course (Portuguese or English). Pass mark is 70%.

Certification
After successfully completing the course, you will receive a Maersk Training certificate aligned with NR-37, item 37.9.6.5
Course content
Task Risk Analysis and Work Permit
Preliminary task risk analysis concepts and exercises; hot and cold work permits in the presence of combustible and flammable substances.
Chemical Additives and Operational Fluids
Chemical additives and composition of fluids used in drilling, completion, workover and stimulation operations, where applicable.
Fire Prevention and Firefighting Systems
Overview of the platform fire prevention and firefighting systems.
Accidents with Flammable Substances
Causes of accidents involving flammable substances and preventive measures applied in the operational area.
Emergency Response
Response to emergencies involving combustible and flammable substances under the platform Emergency Response Plan (PRE).
Process Safety
Overview of process safety for platforms and its role in preventing major accidents.
Electrical Installations in Explosive Atmospheres
Safety requirements for the operation of electrical installations in classified areas and explosive atmospheres.
Onboard Practical Activity
Onboard practical activity of at least 1 hour, including identification of the firefighting systems and equipment available.
