What are the prerequisites for this course?

To participate in practical exercises, learners must meet one of the following requirements: Hold a valid, current offshore medical certificate, or Possess a company-approved medical certificate recognised as equivalent to an offshore medical certificate, or Complete medical screening using a form provided by the OPITO-approved centre. This ensures all participants are medically fit and prepared for safe, effective training.

Assessment Type

To complete the Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS) Training, learners must successfully complete four mandatory units.

Certification

Upon successful completion, participants will receive the OPITO BOSIET certificate. The maximum interval between the successful completion of BOSIET (with EBS) training and subsequent completion of FOET (with EBS) training is 4 years.
