Introduction to OPITO CRO Emergency Response

The Control Room Operator Emergency Response (CROER) course is designed to equip offshore Control Room Operators with the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to respond effectively to emergency situations. This training ensures that personnel who are designated to manage, coordinate, and lead emergency responses from the control room environment can do so in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

The course aligns with OPITO’s recognized standard (OPITO Standard 9010) and is critical in demonstrating competence for emergency response roles in the offshore oil and gas industry.

A formal declaration and supporting evidence from the learner’s employer confirming that the learner has achieved the performance criteria in Outcomes 1 and 2 in the workplace and that the learner has been deemed ready for formal assessment against outcomes 3 - 6
