This two-day course provides offshore professionals with the knowledge and skills required to evaluate seabed conditions and predict jack-up leg behaviour during installation and preloading. It focuses on the interpretation of geotechnical data and Rapid Penetration Diagrams (RPDs) to support safe and informed operational decisions.
Participants will learn how to assess soil properties, seabed suitability, and penetration risks using CPT, SPT, and soil profile data. The course also addresses jacking operation contingencies, mitigation measures, and the practical application of data to real offshore scenarios.
Through a combination of classroom instruction and guided exercises, trainees will develop a risk-based approach to site-specific analysis, enabling them to identify potential hazards, evaluate uncertainties, and support safe, efficient jack-up operations.
