Introduction to Small MOB Boat Refresher with Night Maneuvers
The course refreshes and maintains the practical skills required to perform MOB boat crew duties, including boat operation, manoeuvring, navigation, communication, search and rescue, recovery of persons from the water and night operations.

Prerequisites
Participants must have completed the MOB Boat Basic Course. Personnel who have not served in an emergency response role and have not completed emergency response training or equivalent training within the last 5 years must complete the basic course again.

Who is it for?
Crew members on fixed or floating offshore installations who are assigned to operate a MOB boat in accordance with Offshore Norge guidelines.

Assessment
Participants are assessed throughout all practical training. If a participant does not successfully complete the practical training, the reason for the assessment outcome will be provided. Participants who do not demonstrate achievement of the required competence objectives will not successfully complete the course.

Upon successful completion you will receive a certificate valid for 2 years

Technical aspects of the MOB boat, its systems and associated equipment.
Manoeuvring
Practical manoeuvring and operation of the MOB boat.
Navigation
Navigation relevant to MOB boat and rescue operations.
Communication
Communication during MOB boat and search and rescue operations.
Search and Rescue
Search methods, search patterns and recovery of persons from the water.
Night Operations
Practical MOB boat operation and manoeuvring during night-time conditions.

LO1 - Launch, recover and operate the MOB boat and its equipment safely and satisfactorily.
LO2 - Apply the most commonly used search methods during MOB and search and rescue operations.
LO3 - Recover a person from the water and perform the required MOB boat crew duties.
