A Trailblazing Approach to Enhancing Safety Training and Upskilling
We are the proud recipients of the GOLD honour at the recent Economic Times Future Skills Awards ceremony in Gurugram, India.
The category of “Best Use of AI/AR/VR in Learning and Upskilling” was awarded to us as an organization that has implemented the best technology-based strategy in our learning & development solutions. Utilizing the latest technology to enhance training and delivering “a better learning experience” is key for Maersk Training.
Per Larsen, Head of Innovation in Maersk Training, states: “This award shows the power of combining our strong learning and development capabilities, deep understanding of digital and immersive learning technology, an innovation mindset where it is the user needs driving the selection of technology, and how this all enables us to move beyond the hype.” Per added: “This is also the background for our continued investment in digital content creation capabilities and particularly VR, which we see as a viable solution for future safety training; whether your aim is at delivering flexible, cost-efficient, just-in-time training solutions, or elevating traditional knowledge courses to tangible skills and behaviours.”
Using Maersk Training’s expertise in technology and virtual reality (VR), we collaborated with A.P. Moller – Maersk on developing and delivering Safety Behavioural Workshops for Maersk ratings and cadets, ensuring that they are instilled with a safety mindset and tools to recognize (and react to) inherent risks in operations. All with the ultimate goal of keeping themselves and their colleagues safe, so that they can all get home safe to their families and loved ones.
