Maersk Training has entered a strategic partnership with Global Technology Inc. (GTI) in Guyana to deliver high-quality, industry-driven training to support the country’s maritime and offshore energy development.
The new Master Services Agreement (MSA) brings together Maersk Training’s global expertise in technical, operational, and leadership training and GTI’s role as a local training provider with strong capabilities in occupational safety, academic programmes, and technology solutions.
The MSA was signed at the GTI facility in Georgetown by Bruno Thomaz, Managing Director of Maersk Training in Brazil and George Melville, CEO of Global Technology Inc., and witnessed by Keila Torres, Commercial Manager at Maersk Training.
This collaboration will develop and deliver targeted training programmes that support Guyana’s growing need for skilled professionals across marine, offshore energy, and renewables. The courses will be built on international training standards and adapted to the local context, with delivery supported by both academic and industry experts.
Bruno Thomaz, Managing Director of Maersk Training in Brazil, commented: “This agreement reflects our shared commitment to building capacity in Guyana. By aligning global expertise with local talent and educational infrastructure, we can deliver meaningful, job-ready training where it’s needed most.”
