Congratulations to our USA team on receiving OPITO approval to deliver BOSIET, BOSIET Digital Delivery, FOET and T-HUET with CA-EBS at our training center in partnership with Fletcher Technical Community College in Houma, Louisiana.
This approval strengthens access to internationally recognised offshore safety training for operators and crews across the gulf region. It ensures personnel can complete essential OPITO programmes locally, while meeting the same global standards applied across offshore operations worldwide.
BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) prepares personnel for safe offshore entry, covering emergency response, sea survival and helicopter safety. BOSIET Digital Delivery combines online theory with in-centre practical sessions, offering flexibility without reducing rigour.
FOET (Further Offshore Emergency Training) enables experienced offshore workers to refresh and validate critical safety skills. T-HUET with CA-EBS (Tropical Helicopter Underwater Escape Training with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) focuses specifically on helicopter ditching and underwater escape, including the correct use of compressed air emergency breathing systems in realistic, instructor-led simulations.

Training takes place in controlled, scenario-based environments designed to reflect offshore risk. Instructors bring strong operational backgrounds, ensuring that learning remains practical, relevant and aligned with real-world expectations.
Our presence in the region builds on years of supporting offshore energy operations across the gulf. The Fletcher Technical Community College combines local insight with global consistency, ensuring crews train to the same expectations used across international offshore projects. We will also soon have our OPITO HOIT-A and STCW training in place here.
Christopher George Jacques, General Manager for Louisiana, shares: “Receiving OPITO approval for BOSIET, FOET and T-HUET in Fletcher reflects our commitment to offshore safety and workforce competence in the gulf region.”
Jesper Elbaek Kristensen, USA Managing Director, adds: “This approval enables us to deliver trusted, globally recognised OPITO programmes locally, while maintaining the quality and consistency our customers expect across our global network.”
