As our new Commercial Officer, you will play a vital role in our organisation. You will be part of a competent and engaging team, where the primary customers are within the energy industry and the maritime sector. You will have customer ownership, as well as various sales-related tasks. A position where there will be clear objectives and KPIs. You will be part of a team with good colleagues and strong values. You will be working in an international company, therefore, travel days and short stays abroad is to be expected. You will be included in the MHSS training program and receive knowledge of our products and service.
This position is a full-time position, in our head office in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Key Responsibilities
Market analysis and identification of new customers.
Build and maintain customer relationships.
Planning and execution of sales activities.
Registration and maintenance of customer database.
Sales and rental of safety material for the energy and maritime sector.
Assist in tender processes both locally and internationally.
We are looking for
You have a relevant background, such as a commercial bachelor’s degree and experience from a technical context or an engineering/technical education combined with a commercial career. You have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience. Knowledge of energy and/or maritime sector is an advantage.
You have good negotiation skills and the ability to understand precisely what the customer needs. Building relationships with external and internal contacts comes naturally to you and you get on easily with other people. You hold a strong driving force and find it natural to take ownership for the tasks and projects you are given.
The ideal candidate is a team player, extrovert and possesses strong communication skills, both in face-to-face meetings, via telephone and in writing. The position includes a great deal of communication in English, so it is vital that you have fluent English skills.
You are a self-starter, able to take ownership, and is willing to go the extra mile for the team and the customers, as basis to build long term relationships and to win together
You also hold strong sense of urgency while remaining accurate in stressful situations and proactively thinking about solutions.
The position will report to the Global Commercial Manager based in Denmark.
