This is a great chance to make use of your previous experience within HSEQ. The position is a staff function and you will report directly to the Managing Directors at Maersk training Esbjerg and Maersk H2S Safety Services.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management System, and the activities to ensure organisational effectiveness and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Health & Safety and Environmental
Promote and protect the wellbeing of employees, participants and guests, the environment and the reputation of Maersk. You will be responsible for the implementation of a variety of programmes and activities to prevent injuries, increase effectiveness, and ensure legal compliance.
Primary responsibilities include:

Interpret legislation, monitor compliance, where appropriate, to ensure overall compliance and commitment to environmental practices. Implement policies and procedures to ensure these practices are in compliance. Ensure inspections are conducted, corrective actions are completed, and findings are appropriately documented.
Working closely with Group HSEQ, Management and other functions to identify and implement environmental solutions in regards to regulations, Environmental Management System, and policies and procedures to reduce risk and protect company operations, assets and individuals.
Prepare company readiness to minimise impact, prevent future occurrences and ensure compliance.
Manage Health & Safety to ensure safe workplace conditions in all work locations. Recognise, evaluate and control environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health or well-being, etc. Coordinate and or perform investigations. Drive auditing programme, complete reports and findings, and recommend improvements.
Identify hazardous workplace conditions and recommend action to correct and communicate areas of improvement. Perform necessary follow-up to ensure corrective action has improved situation. Investigate, prepare and forward as required reports on injuries and compliance issues.
Deliver solutions to support continuous improvements in all Health & Safety and Environmental areas.

Quality Management
Create and support an atmosphere that yields continuous quality improvement for Maersk Training Esbjerg and Maersk H2S Safety Services’ business processes and practices.
Primary responsibilities include:
Promote quality achievement and performance improvement philosophies throughout the organisation. Facilitate and/or coordinate meetings and forums regarding quality management and its effects on services and organisational success.
Develop and implement corrective actions and problem-solving methods to ensure compliance with approval standards and legislation. Work closely with Group HSEQ, suppliers and customers to pro-actively engage in compliance issues.
Identify effectiveness and/or quality targets and objectives. Implement plans, evaluate progress, analyse data and identify corrective action when necessary to ensure targets are achieved.
Develop and manage data collection and statistical methods to aid root cause problem identification.

We are looking for

  • You are an experienced HSEQ Manager
  • You expectedly hold an accredited qualification as internal Verifier
  • You have knowledge about OPITO, GWO, DMA standards or other related training standards
  • You have a solid experience with MS Office programmes and ideally Synergi as well
  • As a minimum you are proficient in both written and verbal Danish and English. German proficiency will be an advantage
  • Teaching or instructional experience is preferable however not a requirement
  • Preferred but not required – you have experience as a Lead auditor on ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 or equivalent
  • You have excellent motivational communication skills
