SG Access is a specialist provider of rope access, work at height, confined space, and fall protection services, supporting sectors such as construction, engineering, transport, energy, renewables, heritage, and commercial operations.
Penicuik - SG Access operates an IRATA and GWO training facility in Penicuik, near Edinburgh, set within a restored Grade A listed church. The centre delivers rope access and GWO training led by experienced instructors, combining strong technical standards with a distinctive training environment. The site is well regarded for its course quality, supportive delivery, and consistent positive feedback, with participants often highlighting both the unique venue and the hands-on learning experience.
Ratho - The Ratho training centre serves as both an operational hub for SG Access Solutions Ltd, and our training centre for BTT courses an EFA. This exceptional workspace is within the EICA climbing arena.
Port Edgar - Edinburgh Marine Academy provides expert marine training, professional commercial marine services, and unforgettable charter adventures along Scotland’s iconic coastline. Used exclusively for our GWO Sea Survival courses This offers a real marine environment for candidates, with stunning views of the 3 Forth bridges.

The training centre is a 20-minute walk from Dalmeny Station, which runs regular services to Edinburgh Waverley and along the Fife line. Stagecoach service 40/40A operates a circular route to and from Edinburgh approximately every 20 minutes, stopping in South Queensferry close to the marina.

On-site parking is available at Port Edgar Marina, immediately adjacent to the training centre.
