Confined Space Rescue (Onboard)

The aims of this program are to give the delegates the up to date information, suitable knowledge, and sufficient training to be deemed competent to operate in an elevated risk environment

  • Rescue planning and drills
  • Equipment
  • 7 steps of rescue
  • Theory assessment
  • Practical exercises

At the end of this course, the delegates will be able to demonstrate competence through a series of practical and theoretical assessments throughout the training

  • Identify the rescue equipment in the storage area, be able to reference the relative declaration of conformity ( if any) and show where it is held in the company management system
  • Inspect the equipment and identify any equipment defaults
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the equipment and its purpose utilized in the following systems:
  • Vertical extraction devices VEDs
  • Harnesses
  • Rescue equipment such as stretchers, first aid kits
  • Breathing apparatus
  • BA control equipment
  • Gas monitors
  • Identify roles and responsibilities of the team
  • Identify what equipment will be needed to perform the rescue safely
  • Select equipment
  • Effect rescue using 7 steps methodology
