The purpose of this course is to deliver to the participants various aspects of Emergency first aid on-board an offshore installation. The course involves provision of an advanced level of knowledge and demonstration of skills required to be a emergency first aid provider.
Prerequisites
All participants will be trained onbaord rigs.
Assessment
After completing the training, the participants will have to complete a theoretical test.
After completion of this course, the participants may be assigned as the designated first aider and shall be able to assess the emergency situation and provide first aid care which are interlinked dynamic processes that require continuous attention and adaptation to changing conditions. They should be able to prevent the situation from worsening and handover the casualty when professional medical help arrives.
