Dynamic Positioning (DP) Refresher for Cadeler
The purpose of the course is to give the participants knowledge of the vessel specific DP software of the Starfish newbuilding. In addition, the participants will gain knowledge of the vessel specific FMEA, power setup and operational possibilities of this.
The content of the course is:
Vessel specific DP software
Introduction to layout of vessel specific DP software
Introduction to new DP functions
Exercises on DP trainers
Position Reference Systems
Overview of position reference systems delivered for Starfish (Seatex 5D, Spottrack, Radius, HiPAP)
‘Hands on’ exercise on Seatex 5D
‘Hands on’ exercise on Spottrack (Requires delivery from KM)
‘Hands on’ exercise on HiPAP trainer
Vessel specific power setup
Introduction to Hybrid power philosophy based on MSS technical input (introduction carried out by MSS or course material received by MSS)
Introduction to vessel specific power setup (introduction carried out by MSS or course material received by MSS)
Introduction to operational considerations for power set up
Vessel specific FMEA
Introduction to the requirements for FMEA
Introduction to MSS FMEA trial program
Vessel specific FMEA in details
knowledge in the vessel specific DP software and be able to describe operational conditions for the use of new functions in the DP system
knowledge in the position Reference Systems delivered on board the Starfish new build and be able to operate it for DP operation and
recognize unstable conditions
knowledge in Hybrid Power philosophy
Understanding of the vessel specific power set up
Understanding of operational considerations for the power set up
knowledge of the requirement for FMEA and MSS FMEA trial program
