This course is the first in a series of courses set fourth by the Rotating Equipment Group. This course is a standardized approach for GOM Mechanics to develop and demonstrate compentency when utilizing the Equipment Repair Standard and Field Repair Cards. Students will learn how to use and read various precision instruments through hands on and classroom instruction. Students will learn various aspects of Rough alignment, Conventional alignment, reverse dial indicator alignment and Laser alignment, thorugh hands on instruction. Then students will learn how to Locate, use and fill out the field repair card, following the REG0064 Repair standard.
