STCW A-VI/1-4 Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities
To give all persons intending to go to sea the education and training in personal safety and social responsibility to meet the knowledge and understanding and proficiency (KUP) requirements set out in the STCW code A-V1/1-4
Course Content
During the training the delegates will learn how to:
- Comply with emergency procedures.
- Take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment.
- Observe safe working practices.
- Contribute to effective communication on board ship.
- Contribute to effective human relationships on board ship.
- Understand and take necessary actions to control fatigue.
Course Objectives
The Delegates will know how to:
- Comply with emergency procedures on board a vessel.
- Take precautions to prevent pollution of the marine environment.
- Follow safe working practices.
- Contribute to effective communications.
- Contribute to effective human relationships.
- Understand the causes of fatigue & know the necessary actions to control fatigue.
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will obtain a flag state approved, STCW 95 Basic Training - Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (PSSR) certificate.
