Maersk Training appoints new General Manager in Brazil to support the company’s future growth.

Patrick will support the company’s further growth, with a particular focus on strategic projects and operationalization as per local market needs, and increase the safety offering for Brazil’s energy and maritime industries.

Patrick Modolo will be based in the Rio de Janeiro office and will oversee the entire operations in Maersk Training Brazil with an additional office in Natal. The appointment will see Mr Modolo continue to strengthen local relationships within the Oil & Gas, Maritime and Renewable industries.

Mr Modolo said: “Maersk Training has raised a bar of learning experience for the Oil and Gas, Maritime and Renewable industries locally, that we intend to maintain and further develop, which is in line with my belief in continuously and carefully listening and delivering on our customer’s needs. I will bring my experience from a holistic perspective, from Basic and Technical Safety to Emergency Response training and solutions as Training Management or e-learning. I also will be glad to contribute with Project Management experience towards infrastructure and equipment investment that will be key to allow business expansion.”

Mr Modolo has a degree in civil engineering from his native France. He has lived in Brazil for over a decade with recent experience in the training industry as Commercial Manager, overseeing the Sales, Marketing, Product Development & Innovation, Customer Service and Training Management Service departments.

With the arrival of Mr Modolo, there have been some internal key appointments. Mr Modolo said: “The organisation will also count on the recent nominations of Keila Torres as Business Development Manager and Mariana Caputo as Operations Manager. Keila has a strong track record with Maersk Training over the last ten years and more recently in Operations Management and Sales support. She will play a key role in day-to-day commercial relations with Customers. Mariana also comes from a successful 7-year experience delivering and heading Maritime and Emergency Response Training and will manage all Operation Teams to deliver on our commitments.”

Last month, Maersk Training was shortlisted for five categories in the GWO Safety Awards, two of which were nominations for the Brazil business. The awards ceremony will take place at the WindEurope Electric City 2021 event in Copenhagen on Wednesday 24th of November, where Maersk Training will also be exhibiting along with Maersk Supply Services.
