Maersk Training Norway and Xrig AS have signed a cooperation agreement

Maersk Training Norway and Xrig AS have signed a cooperation agreement, which will allow our clients to reduce their total cost of training by including a wider scope of technical and hands-on equipment training.

Xrig is a Norwegian company specializing in on-/offshore rig and associated equipment rental services, including testing and training. Xrig is a modular combined drilling and hydraulic workover rig. In conjunction to the rig, they have recently built a competence centre, where Xrig, together with the state of the art module, will be able to provide extensive testing and training services for the oil and gas industry.

Jan Tore Knutsen, Managing Director, Maersk Training Norway, said: “Xrig and Maersk training forming this partnership will give our customers the opportunity to experience even more realistic and relevant training as we combine Xrig’s full-size rig floor facilities with Maersk Training’s learning concepts and state-of-the-art mobile or cloud-based drilling and intervention simulators.”
